Our physiotherapists have put together some exercises that you can do at home.

Magic Circle & Bridge exercise
Physiotherapist/Exercise Class instructor Philippa is showcasing the bridge exercise with the Magic Circle. This exercise helps to strengthen the gluteal, hamstring, abdominal and inner thigh muscles. If you don’t have a ‘Magic Circle’ you can also use a soft chi ball or exercise ball.

Dead bug – Core exercise
This is a great exercise for your core abdominals and doesn’t require any equipment.

The Plank – Core/Back/Shoulder exercise
The plank is an excellent exercise that works the whole body, and is great for overall strength and conditioning.

Swan Dive exercise Level 1 & 2
This exercise will strengthen your upper back muscles. This is a very gentle exercise which will help if you are feeling tight in your neck or your shoulders. Please be careful if you are going to try this exercise, especially if you have neck problems.

Magic Circle with hand weights
An exercise that works the core, inner thighs and arm muscles. Philippa is showing the exercise with the magic circle which includes hand weights for a harder challenge.

Side Lying Clam – Gluteal exercise
This is a great exercise for improving your gluteal muscle strength.

Advanced Plank – Core/Back/Shoulder exercise
The plank is an excellent exercise that works the whole body. We advise this is an advanced version so please speak with your physiotherapist if you are not sure if you should attempt this exercise.
